Profilelaser acquired by Landwoud

Profilelaser, founded in 2001 in its current location in Veendam (NL), is a specialist in the field of laser cutting semi-finished products from pipe, tube, angle and U-profiles. With 15 employees and various high-quality machines, the company has grown strongly in recent years. Profilelaser is active in numerous sectors, ranging from rehabilitation technology to construction technology and the furniture industry.

Profilelaser has been acquired by Landwoud, a hands-on investment company that focuses on creating long-term returns, through participating in manufacturing and trading companies with an existing track record. The portfolio companies are located in the North-East of the Netherlands and are mainly active in industries related to processing plastics and metal. This transaction further expands the diversity of Landwoud’s portfolio. Through its knowledge and experience in the metal sector, Landwoud will be able to further expand and optimise Profilelaser, so that current and future customers of the company are optimally served.

Our contribution

Catapult advised Landwoud during the entire acquisition process: determining the value of the shares, the negotiations and supervising the due diligence. Because of the short lines of communication and both constructive and efficient cooperation, the entire process took less than three months, resulting in a successful transaction and satisfied buyers and sellers. The shares were transferred in December 2020. A great result we – as team Catapult – are proud of.
