Boudewijn Wellink

Following his graduation from the Rotterdam School of Management with an MSc in Business Administration, Boudewijn Wellink took up a position at ING Barings in Eastern Europe. He continued his career in London as a mergers and acquisitions specialist for Goldman Sachs and Merrill Lynch. Returning to the Netherlands in 2002, he completed his first turnaround as owner-manager of an SME. Since then he has bought and sold several companies, set up factories abroad, innovated products and processes and entered new markets. He gained his most valuable experience during the recent credit crisis, when his own companies went through extremely turbulent times. This unique experience makes him a sought-after advisor for entrepreneurs and managers facing similar challenges.

Boudewijn has over 20 years’ experience working with companies facing challenges; he knows the ropes and has a track record as an energetic interim director dealing with critical situations. As a consultant he combines his unique experience with a sound knowledge of operational, financial and commercial management. He spends a large part of his time as a restructuring officer or turnaround manager.

Kenneth Derksen

Kenneth Derksen

Kenneth Derksen completed his MSc in Business Economics at the University of Amsterdam and, following his training as a Chartered Accountant, worked for Deloitte and PwC. In 1991 he became interim CFO of one of the largest independent insurance intermediaries in the Netherlands. A year later he took charge of an audit firm with responsibility for completing a turnaround. Since 2001 Kenneth has focused exclusively on corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions. To date he has successfully completed over 100 deals in a wide range of industries.

Kenneth is specialised in dealing with complex valuation and financing issues for companies facing challenges, ranging from fast-growing start-ups to restructurings and restart scenarios. His extensive network among financiers and investors means Kenneth is able to attract the right type of funding for almost any situation and his financial expertise has proven invaluable time and time again. Kenneth is happy to share his knowledge and experience with directors and shareholders of companies facing challenges, often as an involved and hands-on advisor and, if necessary, as interim CFO.

Chiel Ruiter

Chiel Ruiter

Chiel Ruiter graduated from the University of Twente as a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He started his career as a nuclear engineer at Stork where he worked on projects in The Netherlands and Germany. After he obtained an MBA from INSEAD, Chiel joined Goldman Sachs to work in London, South Africa and the Middle East. In 2009 he moved back to the Netherlands to head Credit Suisse’s, BNP’s and UBS’ respective local investment banking businesses. He left banking to pursue a career as turnaround specialist, which started with a SME buy-out/turnaround. Since then he has been involved in a range of turnaround situations with Catapult.

Chiel is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of international experience in assisting corporates and their stakeholders as an adviser and in later years as interim manager. He combines his experience in finance with a passion for managerial, organizational, operational and commercial challenges. Chiel spends the majority of his time providing hands-on turnaround services as Chief Restructuring Officer or Interim Director.

Maarten Bosscher

Maarten Bosscher

After graduating as a Master of Science in Applied Physics at the University of Twente, Maarten Bosscher started his career as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company where he served clients from various industries in the Benelux and the USA. During his tenure, he obtained an MBA from INSEAD. He pursued his career at PepsiCo, initially in Operations as production manager for the snacks brands Lay’s and Smiths, and subsequently in Finance as Financial Director responsible for coordinating pan-European negotiations with multinational retailers, revenue management in Europe’s developed markets, and the development of a new operating model. In 2015 he started his own generalist advisory practice to help firms improve their business performance.

Maarten applies his multifunctional and all-round background to quickly identify performance opportunities and has built a strong track record in turning these opportunities into tangible improvements. He devotes most of his time to helping Business Owners and Management Teams shape and action their strategies, improving organization structures and team performance, supporting M&A initiatives, and guiding operational improvement journeys.

Sebastiaan Klunder

Sebastiaan Klunder

During his Business Administration (MSc) studies at the University of Twente, Sebastiaan Klunder did research on the impact of high growth on early stage companies, success factors in mergers & acquisitions and he worked for a bank in Vietnam. Sebastiaan started his career in Corporate Finance at De Jong & Laan where he gained experience in business valuation, mergers & acquisitions and structuring corporate funding.

In addition to his work at Catapult, Sebastiaan is enrolled in a part-time Executive Master program in Mergers, Acquisitions and Valuation at the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen (MSc, RV). His analytical skills and eye for detail make Sebastiaan a valued team member when dealing with special situations, ranging from complex take-overs to gaining insights in crisis situations.
